Frankenturrent Replica (With Moving Legs) – A Poor, Poor Thing

One of the saddest sights you’ll ever see in Portal 2 is the poor, poor, Frankenturrets. Essentially boxes with legs, their entire reason for existing is to walk onto buttons and they can’t even do that. It would be the perfect thing to have on your desk at work. You know. As a reminder of …

Better Save Up For These Portal 2 Action Figures

So how are we going to end the year? Well, one of my favorite parts about being a gamer is owning various gaming things. Either be action figures, replicas, posters, collecting that stuff is almost as fun as playing the games themselves. Which is why I’m going to show you these Portal 2 Atalas and …

Lego Portal 2

This must have taken forever to do, stop motion Lego animation. How does someone have the patience to do that stuff? Although to be honest, I would love a GLaDOS Lego set.

Designed For Danger – A Portal 2 Fan-Made Campaign

If you have Portal 2 for the PC, and want a little more to play (aside from all the player-create levels), then you might want to check out this little fan-made add-on campaign. Check out the site and download it here.

Gamasutra – The Future in User-Generated Content

User-gen content can be really awesome and really weird sometimes. I love all the user stuff in Skyrim and Portal 2, and often times I wonder if some of the really good stuff are made by other professionals and if not, why those people aren’t.   In this Gamasutra article, the future of user-generated content, …

What Makes a Great Game Villain?

tldrHere’s an interesting article discussing what makes a great game villain from a site called TechnoBuffalo. There’s three different opinions here so I think I’ll comment on each of them and then give my own opinion.   1) “Great villains must be menacing. They must dominate the gaming space whenever they’re featured. They have …

Chell’s Journey is Not Over Yet In This Fan Made Music Video – After Aperture

It’s stuff like this that make me want there to be a Portal 3 that takes place outside of the lab and in a more open world. Maybe someday, Valve can give us some DLC that lets us wander around in the world set after Portal 2, and let us know when exactly it takes …

Tme to Meet the Aperture Cores

If you could make a core, what would it be? Would he be arrogant or useless? Old but content? Angry and trapped in Android Hell? We have posted some of his videos by the guy who made this (which was amazingly not done with Source Filmmaker) and if you want to see more of this …

Quantum Conundrum Videos

I have to give thanks to the recent Penny Arcade comic that introduced me to Quantum Conundrum, cause now I’m pretty excited! For those who don’t know what it is, take a look at these videos giving a nice little preview. (It’s made by one of the co-creators of Portal if you need incentive to …

Lab Ratt

This was a short film I was waiting for a while now and it’s well worth the wait. While watching it though, a couple of topics came through my head. It’s really interesting to think that in game like Portal, it wasn’t just you and GLaDOS, but a third character was there in the background. …

The Portal 2 Rube Goldberg Machine

Hey, have you had a chance to work with the Portal 2 level creator yet? It’s pretty powerful and really easy to use. I just spent the last few hours making a puzzle and tweaking it to be just right. But this video demonstrates that Portal had a lot of mechanics to mess around with.

Portal 2 Song – Prometheus

Remixes and stuff like this aren’t usually my cup of tea, but this one was surprisingly tolerable. I think towards the middle it finally starts getting a melody I can listen to. It’s still amazing what music some people can produced using mostly sound bytes.

A Real-Life Portal Turret

Portal 2 went on sale and the level creator came out, but I guess that’s not good enough for some people. Nope, they had to go and make a real Aperture turret. Someday, banks and military based will be full of these adorable little death machines.

Mission Control: Portal Music Video

The world will probably not rest until the entire cast of Portal 2 has its own theme song.
