Kotaku: Dean Dodrill, Dust, and The Horrors of Crunch Time

Here is an article from Kotaku that interviews Dean Dodrill, pretty much the sole creator of the Xbox arcade game Dust: An Elysian Tail.

While I haven’t played the game yet, it looks really interesting and I’m fascinated by his experience of creating such a massive game by himself. I too also know the horrors of crunch time, as a few months ago, Cameron and I sat down to finish our student project game (one made entirely by ourselves) and what ended up happening was us working on it for 3 solid says with only a few hours of sleep between us. So I can say that I totally relate to the pain that Dodrill went through.
