I am always a sucker for Metroid fan art. I saw this on Deviantart and was pleasantly surprised to find a treasure trove of cool video game fan art (among other things).
The artist responsible goes by the name Pertheseus and has a whole lost of fan art from games like Metroid and The Legend of Zelda. Here are some more examples, but really you should check out the gallery.
