I got the news last night, that one of my favorite gaming magazines ever was going to cease production. So much so that I immediately posted it to your gaming news forum but then I saw this video, which are of course, probably older than me.
I have a ton of Nintendo Power magazines back at my parents house, I have a couple of their strategy guides for games like Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Like all things physical and non-threatening, Nintendo Power was just part of growing up. But the internet quickly made the news it offered irrelevant and while it contained other fun articles, shutting down was bound to happen. So farewell Nintendo Power, thanks for being part of my childhood.
