I recently saw something on YouTube that discussed how the value of fan art to both the artistic community and as a culture altogether and it definitely got me thinking. While fan art may not be be the same thing as something completely original, you can still see the unique style of each one and the effort that went into making it. These pics by artist Patrick Brown for example are so much better perhaps because they are fan art.
