Can Metacritic Be Fixed?

An interesting article from Gamasutra that highlights how the scoring site Metacritic effects the gaming industry and how other reviewers seem to treat this stain on the gaming community.

I really don’t like Metacritic because of exactly what the article says: it reduces hard work and quality down to a number. Hasty reviews and “non-shit storm” websites skew the numbers and given that Bethesda faced some troubles due to New Vegas getting a 79 on Metacritic instead of an 80, it actually effects peoples jobs.
