History of Spider-Man Games Part 1: Bit By The Gaming Bug

Here’s a nice little informative video about our favorite web-head’s introduction into the gaming universe. Of course, I’m kind of too young to remember any of these, but I remember my Spider-Man game being for the Sega Genesis and being impossibly hard.

The first one I actually liked though was the adaptation from the first movie, which included an alternate universe Green Goblin mode that told a different story through the same levels. The 2nd movie one was also pretty great, introducing the big open Manhattan. Aside from Ultimate Spider-Man that let you play as Venom, I really haven’t played to many other ones. Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time looked interesting, but I never got around to playing either of them.
