Pach-Attack: PC Growth and Cheat Codes

On the topic of cheat codes, one reason why I think they’ve fallen out of use is because of trophies and achievements. It use to not matter how one went about playing their game. If they wanted to have all the powers or weapons ahead of time or be an invincible juggernaut, it didn’t hurt anyone but themselves. Now though, achievements and trophies actually matter, in the sense that they are suppose to be an indication of how avid a gamer you are (or something)…okay so maybe they don’t have indicate anything, but they’re rendered completely pointless if cheat codes are super accessible. I also think that it’s easier for developers to test things out without the need of programming something directly into the game.
